Pacific Safety Group is made up of current and former professional ocean lifeguards and Ventura County firefighters. We formed it to train the trainers, in the water, in real conditions, built around the people doing the job.
Pacific Safety Group is made up of current and former professional ocean lifeguards here in Ventura, California, and firefighters from across the Ventura County area. Our roots in the ocean, lifeguarding and public safety run deep. Every one of our instructors is certified by the California State Fire Marshal to deliver Open Water Rescuer – Basic instruction and certification.
We all call Ventura home, and we were fortunate enough to start our careers in public safety lifeguarding the same beaches we grew up on. As we moved through careers in ocean lifeguarding and firefighting, we formed Pacific Safety Group to help train the trainers. It has been a privilege and an honor to work and train with the best in the business right here in Ventura and Santa Barbara.
Today our scope has broadened to ocean event safety: water rescue coverage for surf contests, school groups, private beach and pool parties, and permitted film productions. Our staff brings decades of experience teaching in the public and private sectors, and we place a premium on developing the proper mindset of an ocean rescue swimmer.

Daniel founded Pacific Safety Group in Ventura, California to bring State Fire Marshal ocean rescue certification to agencies on their own terms, and to give private clients access to genuinely professional lifeguards.
He personally scopes every agency course, from the first conversation about your emergency operations and mutual-aid partners through the final certificate.
